  1. Be able to scan in items to return them

    It's extremely complicated to go through and look for each bar code when returning a order. You should be able to scan the items to return the order. Then you know if you are missing things.

    Items can be verified scanned from the mobile app by going into the order details (pulling up the correct order) and then clicking on verify order items to make sure all items are returned.
    However stay tunes for another couple of weeks to see an updated mobile app to help make this process easier.

  2. Customize invoice filenames

    I'd like to be able to change the way invoice file names are generated. Rather than "order425_completed.pdf", it would be great to add customer name and custom fields, or to have the filename include the "heading on invoice" field.

    Currently I have to rename every invoice generated by EZR to include the customer name, hopefully this can be automated.

  3. iFrame the EZRentOut website?

    This is a two part question. We're loving the ease of adding/editing the EZRentout website in terms of ease of listing new equipment and the streamline rental checkout process.

    1. We're looking to for the time being embed an iFrame of the website without the header and the footer and using it as a product page on our website. It doesn't seem to want to be embedded on the website. Is there a quick workaround for this?

    2. We're in the process of getting a developer to redo our website in the next few months. Rather than reinventing the wheel we'd like…

    Thank you for the information. Currently embedding an iFrame is not supported but we’ve forwarded a request to the product management to look into this. We will be updating you as soon as we hear back.

    Meanwhile are you aware you can do custom CSS from Settings → Store Settings → Theme → Advanced CSS Editor.

  4. Phone Number

    It would be wonderful if you had a phone number listed on your website so potential customers could call you to ask questions. It would make your company more approachable. Without having a number listed, it makes the potential customer feel they wouldn't be able to contact you if they purchased the product.

  5. Full functionality for the mobile app

    I would like to see a similar interface that you can use for the online version of the software that i would be able to use in the mobile app. Rather than have a desktop stationed in the warehouse it would be nice to just go round with an ipad

  6. Return Process.

    Hi!
    Your software is really great and handles a lot of the things I need to take care of but the return process is not great.

    I would love to return an order partially without splitting it into two orders. For example, lets say I work at a University. The students took out a bunch of camera equipment. They return everything but realized they forgot one cable at home. I will return all the items but leave the the cable uncheck and add a note at the end. Once that cable is returned, I can close the order.

  8. Company name, reference/contact person & VAT nr. for customers

    1. A fixed field for company name. It should be the name found when scrolling among customers. If left blank, the person name is what is visible (i.e. a private person, not a company).
    2. Possibility to add more than one referance/contact person for a single customer. E.g. "The Sound company" might have several project managers and purchasers who all rent/buy from my company.
    3. A fixed field for the customers VAT number.

  10. Make general requests based on amount of asset, not specific items, for forecasting

    We have thousands of serialized assets and it would be great if requests could be made based on amount rather than individual items.

    E.g. A sales rep wants 5 Ticket Printers for a client by December 10th. It would be nice if they could just ask for 5 printers, rather than selecting specific items. Then my fulfillment team would assign which serialized items they get once they fulfill and ship the request (e.g. We shipped Ticket Printer #2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.)

    This would allow us to see how many Ticket Printers are being requested in December, without promising which…

    Where is the "knowledge base help" so I can look at things while setting up. I have to go out of the program into another internet page, I cant get there from EzRentOut. Also, a "chat" support line would be beneficial.

  13. Item Tags

    I understand that items can only be assigned to a single category, but would it be possible to assign "Tags" to items that then allow them to be affiliated with other items, searches, etc.

    For example...

    I have a microphone that I assign to category AUDIO/MICROPHONES. Using "Tags" I would assign tags to that items for "Sennheiser | Podcasting | Voiceover"

    I could then have those "Tags" used for searches etc...

  15. UI: Allow user to expand list when browser window is expanded

    There is a lot of grey space in the margins of the EZ Rent Out UI. It would be great if the Asset list (or any list) expanded with the browser. Currently the user can only scroll left/right to see the different fields. The list should expand with the browser window. The unused grey space in the margins is useless.

  17. "numeric value" fields that can be added up

    I ship a lot of equipment by freight and I am constantly calculating the total weight of what I'm shipping.

    So I added a custom field to the assets and asset stock for weight.

    If you guys could make this custom field "numeric" so I can type in a number, and under the packing list template, allow that field to be "added up" so that when I generate the packing list it will sum up the quantity of the items and the total weight of these items. This allow us to add fields that can be lengths, weights, and different…

  18. Feature Request: Add another update button

    Okay, I'm new here, but it seems that the 'settings' page could use an 'update' button at the top. If I update something at the top of the page, it seems odd to have to scroll down what seems like infinity just to click the update button.

    Having an 'update' button at the top would be great.

    Allow for orders to have a "Default Pickup" location. We only have one location available for pickup, so forcing the customer to select one is an extra step in the process.

    Provide an option for a "Minimum Order Quantity" on Stock Assets. For instance, we rent handheld radios and want to require a minimum order of 2 units since it's assumed that someone would need a pair in order to operate.
