deleting a rented out item from an an order if it is the wrong item
I am having trouble removing an item that was mistakenly rented out, but never actually rented out. It just appears on the invoice, and since we are not going to charge them for that, we want to remove it permanently and mark it as returned. It will not allow me to return anything on the order, even though all of the items are not back and have been repeatedly marked as returned.

Thank you for your query, In such a case, what you can do is return the order (containing the wrong item) but do a partial return which means return all items except the item that was mistakenly entered. This will complete your original order and create a separate order for the wrong item. The new order can then also be marked as returned (using cash/other) and then voided. Voiding the order will complete wipe off its record.
