  1. We have items that we can either sell or rent. We need to be able to easily move them between asset items and inventory items

    The current method would be to add it as an ad-hoc item.
    If you haven’t already turned on, you can turn on the ability to turn on adding manual items from Settings → Add ons → Order line items for sub renting.
    This can keep it as part of an order as well as retire it after the order is created.
    That said we have forwarded a request to product management on having functionality added for this.

    If we mark it retired, how do we then add it to an order to be sold?
